Terms of use

These terms apply to Engagement Assistant, a Chrome extension sold as a monthly subscription during a private beta. They cover the beta only. If anything here is unclear, email support@socialengagementassistant.site and we will explain it.

The subscription

Engagement Assistant costs $19/month AUD. Payment is taken monthly through Stripe until you cancel.

• Your subscription renews automatically each month.
• You can cancel at any time, self-serve, from the billing portal. There is no lock-in and no minimum term.
• When you cancel, your access runs to the end of the period you have already paid for. After that the extension stops until you subscribe again.
• We do not refund part months. If something has gone wrong, email support@socialengagementassistant.site and we will look at it case by case.
• If the beta price ever changes, we will tell you before the new price takes effect so you can cancel first.

Your subscription is for one person. Card details are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. The site is not a marketplace and does not sell anyone else's product.

Your licence

When your payment completes we issue you a licence key in the format EA-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX.

• The licence is for your personal use, on your own Insta account.
• One key works on up to 5 devices.
• Do not share, publish, resell or lend your key. A key that is passed around is a key we may switch off.
• Need to move the extension to a new computer, or retire an old one? Email support@socialengagementassistant.site and we will reset a device for you.

How the licence is checked

The extension checks your licence with our licence server: when Chrome starts, roughly every 12 hours, and when you open the popup. It sends your licence key and a device identifier, and gets back whether your subscription is active.

If your subscription is not active, the extension stops running its automations until you subscribe again. If your browser cannot reach the licence server for more than 3 days, the extension pauses until it can check again.

Cancelling

Cancelling is self-serve, from the billing portal. You will need your licence key.

When you cancel:

• Your access continues to the end of the paid period.
• The extension then stops running automations. It does not uninstall itself, and you do not need to load it again if you come back.
• Your saved comments, settings and follow review queue stay on your own computer. We cannot see them and we do not delete them.

The beta

Engagement Assistant is in private beta. It is a small product run by a small team and it is still changing.

• Features may change, and some may be added or removed during the beta.
• The service may be unavailable at times while we work on it. We do not promise uninterrupted access.
• Support is by email at support@socialengagementassistant.site. We answer as quickly as we can during the beta.

Insta and Meta

Engagement Assistant is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Insta or Meta, and it is not on the Chrome Web Store.

You use it on your own Insta account, in your own browser, with your own session. We never ask for, collect or store your Insta password.

Insta's Terms of Use do not allow automated activity. They say you cannot access or collect information in an automated way without Insta's express permission. Accounts that act in automated ways can be limited or restricted by Insta. The extension is built to act slowly, in your own browser, with spaced actions and no automatic unfollowing, but automating your account still carries risk. That decision, and keeping your use within the rules that apply to you, is yours.

No promised results

We do not promise any outcome: not follower growth, not reach, not engagement numbers, not sales. What the extension does is automate the routine actions you choose, at the pace you choose. What happens on your account after that is up to Insta and up to your content.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms during the beta. The version published on this page is the one that applies, and the date at the top shows when it last changed. If a change materially reduces what you get for your subscription, we will tell subscribers before it takes effect.

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia and any dispute is handled in the courts of Victoria, Australia.
